Obituary for Antonio De Paiva

Antonio Lopes de Paiva, 96, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. He was born in Sao Jacinto, Vera Cruz, Aveiro, Portugal and came to the US in 1967 and resided in the Ironbound Section, Newark, NJ.

Antonio was a Longshoreman and member at the International Longshoremen's Association Local 1 and worked at the Port of Newark for many years.

Husband of the late Maria Graciete Paiva; dear brother of Albano and Manuel Paiva; loving godfather of Victor, Richard and George Aparicio; beloved companion of 19 years of Maria Lucia Colodetti.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, February 9th at 9:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8th at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave., Newark on from 6-8 pm.
