Obituary for Manuel Da Silva

Manuel Pereira Da Silva, 65, passed away at University Hospital, Newark, NJ on Monday, October 1, 2018. He was born in Anadia, Aveiro, Portugal and came to the United States in 1985 and resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark.

Manuel was a laborer and member for Heavy & General Construction Laborers Local 472 of Newark, NJ. He was also a member of the Bairradinos and Benfica Clubs, both of Newark, NJ.

Beloved husband of Maria Isabel Pereira De Oliveira Da Silva; devoted and loving father of Luis Da Silva and his wife Sandra and Ana Da Silva; dear brother of Mario Da Silva, Armindo Da Silva, Celia Santos, Cidalio Da Silva, Licino Da Silva, Rui Da Silva, Abel Da Silva and the late Pompilio Da Silva; cherished grandfather of Destiny, Isabella, Sophia and Jayden.

The Funeral Mass for Manuel will be on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 9:30 AM at St. Benedict’s Church, Newark. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.

Arrangements were conducted by Buyus Funeral Home at 426 Lafayette Street, Newark, NJ.
