Obituary for Bertelina Saldida

Bertelina Da Cunha Saldida, 87, passed away peacefully, at her home in in Newark, NJ on Saturday, September 7, 2019, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Murtosa, Portugal and came to the United States in the early 1970’s and resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark.

Bertelina was a Machine Operator for Jackie Evans in Passaic, NJ for many years.

Devoted and loving mother of Maria Currais and her husband David, Maria A. Resende and her husband Jose and Manny Silva and his wife Ana; also survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass for Bertelina will be offered on Wednesday, September 11th at 9:30am at Our lady of Fatima Church, Newark. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.

Visitation for Bertelina will be held on Tuesday, September 10th from 6 - 8pm at the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave. Newark, NJ 07105.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Somerset Hills Learning Center, 1810 Burnt Mills Road, Bedminster, NJ 07921,, would be graciously appreciated.
