Obituary for Sara Cunha

Sara Da Ascencao (nee Pita) Cunha, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Alaris Health at Belgrove in Kearny. She was born in Murtosa, Portugal and came to the United States in the early 50’s and has resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark.

Sara was a Sewing Machine Operator for many years, retiring in 1986.

Wife of the late Domingos Jose Cunha; step-mother of Maria do Carmo Silva, Maria Luisa Barros and Rosa Tavares;dear sister Rev. Jose Manuel da Silva and the late sister of Maria do Carmo Malheiros and Domingas Malheiros; aunt of Jose Malheiros, Antonio Jose Malheiros and Bela Antunes and the late Maria do Carmo Henriques.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral on Saturday, August 5th at 8:30 am at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave., Newark. Thence to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark where at 9:30am the Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation, Friday, August 4th from 6-8 pm.

Please omit flowers, donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,, would be graciously appreciated.
