Obituary for Antonio "Tony" Caetano

Antonio “Tony” Alexander Caetano, 50, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at St Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ. He was born in Newark, NJ, where he resided until moving to East Newark, NJ several years ago.

Tony was the Owner and Travel Agent of Professional Travel on Ferry Street and then later owned Caetano Travel Agency, both of the Ironbound Section of Newark. Tony was a Warehouseman for FED EX at Newark Airport for the past 10 years.

Devoted and loving son of Alzira De Jesus Soares Rebelo (nee Mala) Caetano and the late Joao Caetano; cherished brother of Lydia (Luis) Pereira; devoted uncle and godfather of Craig (Melissa) Pereira, uncle of Kirby (Matthew) O’Such, Ashley (Danny)Oliveira, Amanda Pereira; dear great-uncle and godfather of Ava, uncle of Lucas, Anabella, Gabriella, Mason, Leah and Milania.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St. at Wilson Ave., Newark on Saturday, January 6th at 8:30 am. Thence to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark, where at 9:30 am the Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.

Visitation on Friday, January 5h from 6 – 9 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, would be graciously appreciated.
